For my piano curriculum I use the fabulous Piano Adventures series. This curriculum deemphasizes note names and instead emphasizes reading by shape and interval, which allows students to read music more quickly and easily than standard methods. Students are often shocked at how readily they can understand the notes on the page once this “secret” of reading music is revealed to them. Plus the pieces are just plain fun!

For specific pieces of sheet music for contests and the like, rather than linking the entirety of music literature here I will humbly recommend you to check out St Louis’ amazing sheet music store, Mid-States Sheet Music (formerly Midwest Sheet Music). You can find them here: www.ms-sheetmusic.com
